Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu congratulated everyone on the New Year and expressed the hope that the new year will be more peaceful, bring prosperity for the Turkish Cypriot people, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Motherland Türkiye, the Turkic World and all humanity.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ertuğruloğlu said “We are leaving behind a year of heartbreaking negativities in our region and in the world. In the new year, we will continue to take decisive and confident steps towards the future with the strength we derive from our just cause and in unity of strength, goals and hearts with Motherland Türkiye. I wish a more peaceful and prosperous future for the Turkish Cypriot People, our state, Motherland Turkey, the Turkic World and all humanity. I congratulate everyone on the New Year.”
