The first of a fundraiser campaign made up of 50 non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) formed under the ‘Cyprus Turkish Solidarity Platform’ to create homes for earthquake survivors in Türkiye took place on BRT1 on Wednesday evening.

The aid campaign will be broadcast live every Wednesday on BRT1.

The aid campaign launched by the Cyprus Turkish Solidarity Platform to build a container city for earthquake victims in Türkiye is continuing.

The first batch of container homes will be shipped off to quake-stricken areas today.

The event held at the conference hall of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry was attended by businessmen, non-governmental organizations, local administrations and institutions, all donating for the campaign.

The Head of the Cyprus Turkish Hoteliers Association and member of the Executive Committee of the Platform Dima Çağıner stressed that the country was going through tough times.

Çağıner said that it was important for this solidarity to be sustainable and thanked Bayrak Radio Television Corporation for its support.
