The aid campaign launched by the Cyprus Turkish Solidarity Platform formed by 50 NGOs to create homes for earthquake survivors in Türkiye is continuing.

A fund raiser for the campaign will be aired on BRT 1 this evening.

The Cyprus Turkish Solidarity Platform, which is made up of up to 50 NGOs operating in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is continuing its efforts to provide aid and relief to victims of the devastating earthquakes which struck southern Türkiye earlier last month.

The platform’s goal is to build a container city that will provide housing and accommodation for a thousand families.

Within this framework, BRT 1 will be hosting a fundraiser programme this evening at 7:30.

The container city will be named, “The Cyprus Turkish Champions Angels Village” after members of the Gazimağusa Türk Maarif College Secondary School Volleyball team, their parents and teachers who perished in the earthquake after the hotel they were staying in Adıyaman collapsed.

The event will be held at the Conference Hall of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry.
