The Meteorology Department has issued a storm warning.

Gale-force winds are expected on land and at sea until 3pm on Wednesday.

According to the announcement from the Meteorology Department, winds in the region are expected to gradually strengthen, blowing from the north and east at speeds of 50-61 km/h, described as “gale-force.”

In the regional seas, the wind is currently blowing from the north and east and is expected to reach “force 7,” creating gale-like conditions.

The Meteorology Department has advised authorities and citizens to take precautions against potential adverse conditions.
