Gardiyanoğlu holds contacts in Ankara

The Minister of Labour and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu is continuing with his contact sin the Turkish capital Ankara.

Gardiyanoğlu who met with Türkiye’s Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş discussed new social service projects.

Earlier on Tuesday, Gardiyanoğlu met with his Turkish counterpart Vedat Işıkhan during which joint projects and areas of collaboration were discussed.

During his meeting with Göktaş, which lasted for about an hour and was attended by bureaucrats, joint social responsibility projects to be carried out between the two ministries were discussed.

After an inter-departmental meeting where collaborations related to social reforms were evaluated, and an exchange of views and sharing of experiences in the field of social services, Göktaş expressed his pleasure in hosting Sadık Gardiyanoğlu and stated, “We believe that our meeting and joint efforts will yield productive results.”

The TRNC Minister also expressed his gratitude for the attention and sensitivity they received in Ankara.

Gardiyanoğlu said, “We had a very productive meeting with Minister Göktaş on improving the infrastructure of in-service training for personnel in the field of social services, starting mutual internship programs, and strengthening the infrastructure of elderly care homes, rehabilitation centers, and child care homes. We received concrete support.”

He added that, in terms of social services, all ministry-owned centers from Yeşilırmak to Karpaz would adopt a more contemporary service approach.”
