The Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment is organising the Girne Tourism Fest 2024, with the contribution of the Girne Municipality.

The Girne Tourism fest events, which will be held in line with tourism week activities will include music, theatre and folk dance performances, and will start with a cortege in front of the old Girne Municipality building at 10.30am on Saturday, April 20.

The official opening ceremony at the old Girne Harbour will be held at noon.

Following the opening speeches, where Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu will also take part, the festival will continue with music, dance, theater and various shows that will continue until the evening hours.

Performing at the fest will be the Caesar Choir, Group Otantik, the Vadili Folk Dances Team, Ahmet Ced, the Cyprus Turkish State Theatres, the Akdoğan Folk Dances Group, Ulaş Barış, the TUFAD Folk Dances Group, the Değirmenlik Municipality Folk Dances Group, the Serdar Quintet, the Karsiyaka Culture and Art Association Folklore Group, Group Rast, the Alayköy Folk Dance Group, Todds And Friends, Berkay, Ezgi and Fikri Karayel.

A traditional Cypriot costumes fashion show and jazz concert will also take place.

At the fest, where food, beverage and handicraft stands will also take place, there will be free tours to the old Girne Harbour and Girne Castle.
