Turkish Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler pointed out that Türkiye’s stance towards a two-state solution in Cyprus and the support given to Turkish Cypriots will continue to increase.

Güler emphasized that “we continue our intensive efforts to ensure that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the apple of our eye, takes its rightful place in the international arena.”

Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler spoke at a video teleconference meeting with the Turkish Armed Forces command, deputy ministers and unit commanders.

Here, Minister Güler stated that intensive efforts are underway to ensure that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) takes its rightful place in the international arena and emphasized that their stance towards a two-state solution on the island will continue.

Reminding that they celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’ Communal Resistance Day and Armed Forces Day with great pride and enthusiasm, Güler said: “We will continue our intensive efforts to ensure that the TRNC which is most precious to us, takes its rightful place in the international arena. Our stance towards a two-state solution on the island and our support for our compatriots will continue to increase in the future.”
