National Unity Party (UBP) General Secretary Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, who attended the Political Parties meeting held in Northern Ireland, met with the Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly Alex Maskey.

According to information given by the UBP Press Office, Hasipoğlu, during his visit to the Northern Ireland Parliament in Belfast, had the opportunity to meet with the Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly Alex Maskey.

“We listened to his views on the political situation in Northern Ireland, the relations between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland and the implementation of the 1998 settlement agreement and gave information about the situation of our country” said Hasipoğlu.

“The Republic of Ireland continues on its way as a separate independent state. Northern Ireland has its own autonomous administration structure and an administration affiliated to Great Britain. We understand that the most important principle is the realization of a settlement agreement with respect for the right to self-government and the end of the conflict in this way” said Hasipoğlu.
