Today marks March 14 Medicine Day, a significant occasion honoring healthcare professionals.

Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek released a message celebrating the day and extending his gratitude to all healthcare workers.

In his statement, Dinçyürek emphasized that health is a fundamental human right and one of the greatest values of life. He acknowledged the dedication of doctors and healthcare workers who tirelessly work day and night to protect and improve human life, describing their efforts as the cornerstone of a healthy society. “On this meaningful day, I sincerely celebrate the March 14 Medicine Day of all our healthcare workers,” he said.

Highlighting that the greatest strength in delivering healthcare services at the highest standards lies in the dedication of healthcare professionals, Dinçyürek reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving their working conditions and making the healthcare system stronger, more inclusive, and more accessible.

Since taking office, he noted, significant steps have been taken to enhance healthcare infrastructure, strengthen hospitals and health centres, and develop a more patient-centred system.

In addition to curative services, preventive healthcare is also a priority, ensuring that individuals can lead quality lives without encountering health issues.

“Our primary goal is to facilitate easy access to healthcare services for our citizens and to build a more efficient and patient-focused system. Acknowledging the dedication and sacrifices of our healthcare workers, we will continue to take the necessary steps to provide them with the best possible working conditions,” Dinçyürek concluded.
