The Meteorology Department has issued a warning for strong storms and heavy downpours for Tuesday afternoon.
Isolated showers are also expected to continue on Wednesday.
Increasing cloud cover in the afternoon is expected to bring isolated rains and storms, mainly in the East.
Heavy downpours are forecast between 12 noon and 6pm.
The met office has warned the public to take all necessary precautions.
Winds will initially be variable and light, 3 Beaufort, soon turning south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort and locally strong, up to 5 Beaufort.
The sea will be rough.
Temperatures will rise to 32C in the interior, 30C on the north coast, 28C on the remaining coasts and 22C in the higher mountains.
On Wednesday, clouds in the afternoon are expected to bring isolated rains and possibly an isolated storm, mainly in the mountains and the interior.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly.
