High school students in our country have put their signatures on a joint project.
Nearly 200 high school students worked together to design a civil society project at the “High School Student Councils Meeting” organized by the Directorate of Youth Affairs.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu emphasized at the event that they mobilize the means available to realize the dreams of young people and that they will continue to support them to show themselves on every platform.
The ‘High School Student Councils Meeting’ was held in collaboration with the Youth Federation and the Directorate of Youth Department that operates under the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment.
About 200 high school students participated in the event.
Mustafa Özbilgehan, President of the Youth Federation, expressed his delight at being part of the organization.
Fikri Ataoğlu, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment for his part drew attention to the introduction of an environmental education course in schools and the aim of increasing young people’s awareness towards the environment.
Ataoğlu also mentioned their support for young people’s meetings in different countries, particularly in the countries affiliated with the Organization of Turkic States and TURKSOY.
The event concluded with students forming groups and working together to develop a civil society project on various topics including art, sports, disability rights, and the environment.
