A delegation from the People’s Party met with the Greek Cypriot DISY party in South Cyprus on Wednesday.

The People’s Party emphasized its support for a mutually acceptable and sustainable solution in Cyprus, highlighting the need for pragmatic and creative approaches.

According to a statement from the party, during the meeting, HP leader Kudret Özersay and his accompanying delegation met with DISY leader and Speaker of the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives Anita Dimitriu, and members of the DISY leadership on Wednesday.

The People’s Party expressed its support for a mutually acceptable and sustainable solution in Cyprus, emphasizing the need for pragmatic and creative approaches.

“The importance of continuous dialogue with Greek Cypriot political parties regarding both the solution of the Cyprus problem and the issues requiring cooperation in Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean region is evident. The People’s Party is committed to working with both DISY and other Greek Cypriot political parties, engaging in constant consultation to find reasonable solutions to problems through rational approaches,” the statement read.
