Inflation went up by 5.30 per cent in April compared to the previous month

The Statistical Institute has announced the inflation rate for the month of April at 5.30 per cent.

While the price of 439 goods went up in April compared to the previous month, there was a drop in average prices of 87 goods.

The inflation rate continued to go up in April, showing a 5.3 per cent increase, the TRNC Statistical Institute announced on Thursday.

The latest figures showed a 15.46 per cent increase since December last year and a 67.32 per cent compared to the same month the previous year.

The highest increase in prices was recorded in restaurant dining and hotel accommodation with 13.75 per cent.
