Date Added: 17 July 2023

President Ersin Tatar and the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre attended the graduation ceremony of the 2022-2023 academic year at the International Final University.

In his speech at the ceremony, Parliamentary Speaker Töre stressed the importance of students loving their own people and nation first.

He expressed his belief that after graduation, the students will become highly valuable individuals who will contribute to their countries.

Töre also urged the students to remain vigilant against the imperialist games played around the world.

Reminding that a game was also played in Cyprus on July 15th, with the aim of uniting Cyprus to Greece, he stated that the Greek Cypriots had been occupying the so-called Republic of Cyprus since 1963.

Töre added that on the dawn of July 20th, which will be celebrated in the coming days, the heroic Turkish army came to Cyprus, and after years of resistance by Turkish Cypriot fighters, the Turkish Cypriot people gained their freedom through this operation.

Stressing that this victory will continue eternally, the Parliamentary Speaker said that the efforts of certain circles to remove Turkish troops from the island will be in vain.

Also addressing the graduates, President Ersin Tatar stated that the university, which has been graduating students for the past four years, had become one of the important universities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), a success, he said he believed will continue to grow.

Tatar thanked those who contributed to the establishment of the university and all the faculty members, and congratulated the graduating students, wishing them success in their future endeavours.

Expressing his hope that the graduates, upon returning to their countries, would make significant contributions with the education they received here, President Tatar said, “Life presents us with various exams that require lifelong learning.”

The president also stressed that education did not end with graduation and that our achievements in life continue to require ongoing learning.

President Tatar also highlighted the importance of leveraging artificial intelligence and scientific advancements to effectively navigate the future.
