Special Advisor to the President on International Relations and Diplomacy Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal represented the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) at a conference organised in honour of the 15th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Treaty, one of the milestones of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Speaking at the conference, Işıksal said that that Cyprus is of vital importance not only for Türkiye but the Turkic World.

Speaking at the conference that was organised in honour of the 15th anniversary of the Organisation of Turkic States, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal stated that the struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people is directly related to the struggle of the Turkish Cypriots to maintain their ties with the entire Turkic World, especially with the Motherland Türkiye, and the struggle for geopolitical power and dominance in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Emphasizing that the existence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is indispensable for the Organization of Turkic States to become a global actor and for its regional strategy to be successful, Işıksal stated that the Turkish Cypriot people, who challenge the policies that try to isolate the Turkish presence from the Eastern Mediterranean, should not be left alone by brotherly countries in this honourable struggle.
