Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) paid a visit to Qatar.
The Chamber delegation attended the general assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development.
The KTTO delegation delivered a presentation on investment opportunities in Northern Cyprus within the scope of the General Assembly activities and held various meetings on the sidelines of the assembly.
The 39th General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development was held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
At the General Assembly, which was held with the participation of the heads of business organizations of 28 countries, evaluations were made regarding the opportunities for commercial and economic cooperation among Islamic countries.
At the General Assembly, the name of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture was unanimously changed to the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development.
The Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce was represented by the President of the Chamber Turgay Deniz at the General Assembly.
Within the scope of the General Assembly activities, a Cooperation Protocol was signed between the Azerbaijan representative Azerbaijan National Confederation of Employers and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.
The protocol, which aims to improve cooperation between the two organizations, also aims to increase bilateral trade.
While Chamber President Turgay Deniz signed the protocol on behalf of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, Confederation President Mehmet Musayev signed the protocol on behalf of the Azerbaijan National Confederation of Employers.
KTTO Delegation also made a presentation on the investment opportunities in Northern Cyprus within the scope of the 39th Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development General Assembly.
In the presentation made by KTTO Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Ergüven, the country’s economy and commercial potential as well as investment opportunities were explained.
The President of the Chamber Turgay Deniz also met with Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassin Al Thani, President of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
