As tensions escalate between Israel and Iran, Israel continues its attacks on Gaza.

In a meeting with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian described the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran as a grave mistake that would not go unanswered.

According to Iranian state television, President Masoud Pezeshkian received Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi during his visit to the capital, Tehran.

During the meeting, Pezeshkian described the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, who was officially visiting Iran, as a violation of international law and a grave mistake by the Israeli regime that would not go unanswered.

“The Zionists’ audacity will not go unanswered” Pezeshkian stressed.

Noting that Iran’s foreign policy prioritizes stability in the region and worldwide, he underlined the importance of Islamic countries acting collectively to stop Israeli attacks against Palestinians.
