The President of the Champion Angels Association, Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya, along with grieving families, addressed the public at the Adıyaman Courthouse before today’s hearing.

“Today, once again, with indescribable pain in our hearts, we gather at the fourth hearing, one of the most challenging stops in our quest for justice. We have been suffering for exactly 624 days due to the absence of our loved ones. The greed for money, heartlessness, and negligence caused by what they call a hotel—this pile of sand—means our children are not here with us because of İsias. We should not have had to visit them at their graves! We should have been able to embrace them, to hold them. But this right has been stolen from us. And until those responsible are held accountable, this case will never be closed,” Karakaya said.

“Today, we are again at the Adıyaman 3rd Heavy Criminal Court. We demand justice. The İsias incident is a murder committed right before our eyes. And we are here to ensure that these murderers receive the harshest punishment. As we have said since day one: This case is not only about the owners of the İsias Hotel, but also about everyone who allowed this building to open without inspection. We are requesting that the trial be conducted with possible intent, and we will never step back from this demand. We want the indictment against public officials to be written as soon as possible and for the trial to begin” she added.

“Until we fulfil our promise to our Champion Angels and our guides, this pursuit of justice will not end. No mother, no father, no spouse should ever have to endure the pain we have experienced. This case is not only a beacon of hope for us but also for future generations. Together, we will fight until justice is served. As one heart, one force, we will continue to make our voices heard. We have a promise: Justice will ultimately prevail” Karakaya concluded.
