Kasım Kuni who was appointed as new Chief of Police received his new stripes on Tuesday with a ceremony held at the Police Headquarters Eybil Efendi Conference Hall.

“I will carry this sacred and honourable duty on my shoulders” Kuni said at the rank decoration ceremony.

Meanwhile, Ahmet Beşerler has been appointed as the First Deputy Chief of Police, replacing Kuni.

A rank decoration ceremony was held at the Police Headquarters Eybil Efendi Conference Hall on Tuesday, where Kasım Kuni received his stripes after being appointed as the new Chief of Police.

The Commander of the Security Forces Command (GKK) Major General Zorlu Topaloğlu, Brigadier General Kadir Bayraklı, District Police as well as Officers of the Police Headquarters was also present at the ceremony.

After reading Kasım Kuni’s biography, he was decorated with his new stripes by the Commander of the Security Forces Command Major General Zorlu Topaloğlu.

Speaking at the ceremony Kuni expressed his gratitude to Commander Topaloğlu and his superiors for deeming him suitable for the post.

Also speaking at the ceremony, GKK Commander Topaloğlu expressed his belief that Kuni will represent the Police Force in the best possible way, carrying it forward.
