One of the successful athletes in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Kemal Elektrikçi ran the 67 kilometre course between Lefkoşa and Gazimağusa on Sunday in honour of the Champion Angels who lost their lives in the earthquake in Türkiye.

Kemal Elektrikçi ran the 67 km distance between Lefkoşa and Gazimağusa in around 5 hours and drew attention to the legal process that is continuing for the Champion Angels Team and to support the Champion Angels Education Scholarship project.

Elektrikçi began his 5 hour journey from Lefkoşa in the early hours of the morning and ended his run at the Gazimağusa Turk Maarif College where he was welcomed with applause by the Champion Angels Association.

With the run, Elektrikçi aimed to support the ongoing legal process of the Isias case and to draw attention to the donations to be made to the “Champion Angels Education Scholarship” project sponsored by TURKCELL.
