President Ersin Tatar Received the President of the Help Those with Cancer Association Ayşe Kanlıada and was provided with information regarding the screening campaign realized by the association.
Kanlıada provided details about the screening campaign, which began at the Presidency on March 3rd and was conducted in various regions.
She reported that 749 individuals voluntarily underwent a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test, with 109 individuals requiring further examination.
She emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and urged men to get annual check-ups.
In his remarks during the visit President Tatar highlighted the significance of early detection, stating that the identification of 109 individuals needing further testing underscores the campaign’s importance.
Tatar noted that nearly 20,000 cancer cases have been recorded, stressing that this is a serious figure.
He emphasized that both the state and civil society organizations must work together to raise awareness and ensure early diagnosis, which can lead to effective treatment and a healthier life.
