The Embassy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in Ankara held a reception to mark the 41st anniversary of the founding of the TRNC.
In his speech at the reception, The Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), Numan Kurtulmuş stressed that 41 years had passed since the declaration of the TRNC, and that it had now become a well-established, rooted, and globally recognized republic, having made significant progress.

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus exists, and it will continue to exist until the end of time. As the Republic of Türkiye, we will continue our struggle, as we did yesterday, with all our resources, to defend the TRNC in every field and to guarantee the rights and law of our Cypriot brothers and sisters” Kurtulmuş said.
Referring to the recent events in Gaza, Kurtulmuş stated that they now understand much better why the July 20 Peace Operation was carried out.
“After seeing what has happened in Gaza, we now understand much better how important Türkiye’s guarantee is. In this regard, Türkiye will continue to protect the rights and law of our brothers and sisters in Northern Cyprus” he added.
