A protocol was signed on Tuesday between the Deputy Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment and the Telza Construction company that won the tender for the cleaning of the historic Lefkoşa Walls.

The protocol was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu and Telza Construction Director Can Osman Zayıf.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry, the walls starting from Çağlayan to the Ledra Palace region will be cleared of invasive weeds.

Making a brief statement at the signing ceremony Minister Ataoğlu stated that they have made improvements to the countries historic monuments within the framework of the possibilities and explained that many historic monuments throughout the country were adapted to today’s conditions.
