The official results of the Parliamentary and Local Organization Bodies By-elections that were held on June 25 were published in the Official Gazette on Monday.
Sami Özuslu, who was elected as a deputy from the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), and Selim Özdemir, who was elected as the mukhtar of the Lefkoşa-Yenicami neighbourhood, received their mandates at the Lefkoşa District Election Board on Monday.
Özuslu will be sworn in at an extraordinary session of the general assembly of parliament that will take place on July 13.
In the parliamentary by-elections, 62 thousand 663 voters out of 210 thousand 121 total voters cast their votes, and the voter turnout was 29.82 percent.
