The gradual reopening of the closed city of Maraş began in October 2020 and as of this month the second phase has also begun.
The area is attracting much interest.
The number of people visiting the area has exceeded 180 thousand.
Prime Minister Saner visited the region, which was removed from being a military zone with a decision from Council of Ministers, on the 26th of July.
Meanwhile President Ersin Tatar chaired the Council of Ministers, which convened on the 2nd of August with the opening process of Maraş on its agenda.
Maraş is open for visits between 8am to 8pm.
