President Ersin Tatar said that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), as an independent Turkish State, continues its life in peace by showing the greatest respect to humanity, modernity and civilization.

The President made the statement during the Martial Arts Oscar Award Ceremony he attended.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Tatar congratulated the families who encouraged their children to partake in sports and those who contributed to the competitions.

Pointing out that the activities carried out are important in terms of personal development, discipline and team spirit, President Tatar emphasized that young people proudly represent the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in international competitions despite all the embargo and isolation imposed.

Praising the success achieved by athletes, President Tatar said, “The success of young people makes us proud. The TRNC, as an independent Turkish State, continues its life in peace. I would also like to thank Motherland Türkiye for its support and cooperation.”

Emphasizing that sport is brotherhood, discipline and teamwork, Tatar expressed his heartfelt congratulations once again for all the effort and sacrifices made by the athletes and wished them success.
