The Martyr Captain Cengiz Topel Mediterranean Storm Exercise-2023 starts today (Monday).

The four day-long exercise, in which land, air and naval elements from Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will take part in, will be completed on September 15.

According to a statement made by the Security Forces Command, the exercise aims to improve mutual training, cooperation and interoperability between the Turkish Cypriot Peace Forces Command and the Security Forces Command.

Land, air and naval elements from Türkiye and the TRNC will take part during the drills.

The exercise to be carried out in the TRNC will be completed on September 15.
