The Martyr Captain Cengiz Topel Mediterranean Storm Exercise kicks off today.

The exercise, aimed at enhancing mutual training between the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Command and the Security Forces Command, will continue until September 19.

A statement from the Security Forces Command Press Office announced that the “Martyr Captain Cengiz Topel Mediterranean Storm Exercise 2024” will be conducted from September 16-19 with the participation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Türkiye.

The statement added that the exercise aimed to enhance mutual training, cooperation, and interoperability between the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Command and the Security Forces Command.

The exercise will involve land, air, and sea elements from Türkiye and the TRNC and will be held closed to the press.
