The 62nd Mehmetçik Grape Festival is continuing and within the framework of the festival the 7th International Golden Grapes Folk Dance Festival is also being realized.

President Ersin Tatar paid a visit to the 62nd Mehmetçik Grape Festival organized by Mehmetçik-Büyükkonuk Municipality.

The President, who also watched the International Golden Grapes Folk Dance Festival, emphasized in his speech that culture and art activities are very important in overcoming the unjust isolations imposed on the Turkish Cypriots.

He noted that Buse Savaşkan, who took part in the Turkish National Team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, represented the Turkish Cypriot people and showed its existence to the world.

Explaining that the participation of dance teams from different countries at the Mehmetçik Grape Festival promoted the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to the world, Tatar stated that the 62nd Mehmetçik festival reflects the struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people in these lands.
