The Champion Angels Memorial Night event will be held tonight in honour of those who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquake in Adıyaman Türkiye.
A volleyball match will be held at the Eastern Mediterranean University’s Lala Mustafa Paşa Sports Stadium.
The event will be broadcast live on BRT.
The match organised by the Volleyball Federation will be held as an exhibition match.
Those taking part will be wearing “champion angels” t-shirts and once the match is completed, Ender Denktaş, the daughter of the late founding president Rauf Raif Denktaş, will present trophies on behalf of the Denktaş family.
The trophies will be given to the Gazimağusa Turk Maarif College Principle.
The 11th Rauf Denktaş Cup Finals, which were planned to be held in February, were postponed due to the earthquake in Türkiye.
After a long discussion it was decided that the final matches would be held tonight.
This year the 14 year olds volleyball league will be referred to as the Angels League.
