Met Office warns of new episode of dust
Date Added: 22 November 2023

The Met Office on Wednesday warned of a new episode of dust in the atmosphere from the evening onwards.

As the dust contains small inhalable particles, which are likely to have a negative effect on human health, the public and particularly vulnerable groups are advised to avoid going outdoors until the phenomenon has passed.

Vulnerable groups are defined as the elderly, children and people who are sick.

Temperatures are expected to rise to 23C in the interior, 22C on the east coast and 24C on the remaining coasts.

Winds will be mainly north- to south-easterly, up to moderate, 4 Beaufort, and locally strong, 5 Beaufort. The sea will be rough.

Thursday and Friday will continue partly cloudy with gradually rising temperatures.

Rain and isolated thunderstorms are forecast for the weekend.
