Work on the construction of the new Girne Hospital is progressing rapidly.

The hospital’s construction is expected to be completed within the year.

Speaking on the issue, the Minister of Health İzlem Gürçağ Altuğra, stressed that the new 160 bed hospital will provide full-fledged healthcare service to the people of Girne and the TRNC once completed.

Health Minister İzlem Gürçağ Altuğra said that the construction of the much awaited New Girne Hospital, is progressing rapidly.

Noting that the current Dr. Akçiçek Hospital was inadequate in addressing the city’s health care needs, she noted that with the new 160 bed capacity hospital, once completed, will be able to offer full-fledged health care to the people of Girne and the TRNC.

Stating that they expect the construction of the New Girne Hospital, which started in December 2022, to be completed within this year, Altuğra stated that they are closely following the construction of the hospital.
