Minister Ataoğlu issues message to mark Tourism Week

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu stated that they aim to attract more than 2 million tourists to the country this year.

He also emphasized that the tourism sector will continue to be an important resource for the country’s economy.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, leader of the Democrat Party (DP) Fikri Ataoğlu issued a message to mark April 15 – 22 Tourism Week.

In his message Ataoğlu said, “As the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the tourism sector is of great importance particularly for the country’s economy.

Stating that tourism activities in the TRNC continue for most of the year and due to these great efforts are exerted to ensure the sustainability of the tourism sector and to improve tourism services Ataoğlu said, “The tourism sector introduces the historical, cultural, natural and touristic wealth of our country to the world and therefore contributes to our economy”.

Expressing his gratitude to all employees working in the tourism sector, Ataoğlu said that it was thanks to their hospitality and hard work that the tourism sector was growing with every passing day.

Explaining that after all the hardships experienced they were once again able to gain momentum, Ataoğlu said that they will continue to increase quality in every sector of tourism reiterating that they aim to attract over 2 million tourists to the country this year.
