Minister Çavuşoğlu holds a series of contacts in Kazakhstan

Four universities from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) participated in the Silk Road Turkish Universities 2024 Fair realized in Kazakhstan.

Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu also attended the opening of the fair held in Almaty, Kazakhstan where he held various contacts.

Minister Çavuşoğlu returned home on Sunday evening after completing his contacts.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of National Education press office, Education Minister Nazım Çavuşoğlu, during a meeting held at the Turkish Consulate in Almaty, said that he and university representatives were in Kazakhstan to promote the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’s institutions of higher education.

“We will be happy that our brothers and sisters living in our ancestral lands receive education at universities in our country” said Çavuşoğlu during the visit.

The Minister of National Education Çavuşoğlu also visited the Talgar Boarding High School No 1 within the framework of his Kazakhstan contacts.

He received information from the Talgar Boarding High School Principal Dildar Badalova about the activities carried out at the school and congratulated the school administration and teachers for the success achieved by the school.

Çavuşoğlu then visited the Eurasian Research Institute of Ahmet Yesevi University.

There he was briefed by the Director of the Institute Dr. Suat Beylur on the institute’s activities.

Minister Çavuşoğlu also inaugurated an exhibition titled “Memory” by painter İsmail Acar.

On the last day of his visit, Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with Even Müderrisoğlu, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty.
