Minister Oğuz receives TR. Deputy Justice Minister Ramazan

The Minister of Interior Dursun Oğuz received Ramazan Can, the Turkish Deputy Minister of Justice on Monday.

During the meeting, Oğuz touched upon the ongoing Isias trial and drew attention to the wish of the families of the children who died in the collapse of the hotel that the defendants be tried with probable intent.

Stating that the Isias case has become a national issue for them, Oğuz stated that all government officials and opposition parties were united as one voice on the issue.

Noting that the Turkish Minister of Justice showed great sensitivity during this process and visited the families and graves of those who lost their lives in the earthquake, Oğuz said that they trust the Justice system in Türkiye.

He also reminded that the families of the victims were demanding that the defendants in trial to be tried with “Probable Intent”.

Turkish Deputy Justice Minister Ramazan Can for his part described the earthquake in Türkiye on February 6 as a great disaster and a great apocalypse.

He noted that their stance as a ministry was clear regarding the truth being revealed and that that the judiciary in Türkiye was independent.
