A monument will be built in Gazimağusa in memory of the citizens who lost their lives in the earthquakes that took place on February 6 in Türkiye.

The decision taken by the Council of Ministers on the issue was published in the Official Gazette.

The place where the monument will be built was determined in accordance with the decision taken on February 13 in cooperation with the Gazimağusa Municipality and as a result of consultations with the relevant institutions and all families who lost their relatives.

It has been decided to build the monument in the place known as Hurmalı Circle, located at the entrance of Gazimağusa on the Gazimağusa-Lefkoşa dual-carriage road.
