Mustafa Şentop and delegation in the TRNC

Former Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Şentop and his accompanying delegation are in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to carry out a variety of contacts.

The visiting delegation, who landed at Ercan Airport, were greeted by the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre, deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu and other officials.

Making a short statement to the press upon his arrival at Ercan Airport, the Former Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Şentop said that Türkiye and the TRNC will always continue on their way strongly and underlined that their support will continue uninterruptedly.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre for his part said that they had worked closely with Mr. Şentop during his term as parliamentary speaker and had worked jointly on the Cyprus issue as well.

Şentop and his delegation then visited the mausoleums of Dr. Fazıl Küçük and founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş and paid their respects.

During their visit to the TRNC, the delegation will be received by President Ersin Tatar, Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel respectively.

In the afternoon they will be visiting the area where the new parliamentary building is being constructed.
