President Ersin Tatar said that martyrs are the honor and rising honor of a nation and stated that the struggle in Cyprus is a struggle for independence and will never be stopped.

Emphasizing that it is their duty to protect and preserve the state, Tatar underlined that if there is to be an agreement on the island, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) should be a part of this agreement together with the Turkish Cypriots.

President Ersin Tatar attended the National Struggle and Martyrs Commemoration Oratorio organized by the Security Forces Command Band.

The event, held during the National Struggle and Martyrs Week, began with a minutes silence and the reciting of the National Anthem.

Commander of the Security Forces Major General İlker Görgülü explained that the purpose of the Oratorio was to honor the martyrs and express gratitude to the veterans.

He emphasized the significance of the Turkish presence on the island since 1571 and the ongoing struggle against the Greek-Greek Cypriot duo.                                                                                      ..2..

President Tatar expressed his appreciation for the organization of the Oratorio and stressed the importance of protecting and preserving the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

He remarked that the TRNC is a rising star in its region and highlighted the role of martyrs in maintaining peace and tranquility on the island.

Tatar asserted that the struggle for independence in Cyprus will continue, and the presence of the Turkish Armed Forces is essential for deterrence.

The event concluded with a recital describing the presence and establishment of Turkishness in Cyprus.
