President Ersin Tatar said that martyrs are the honor and rising honor of a nation and stated that the struggle in Cyprus is a struggle for independence and will never be stopped.

The event, held during the National Struggle and Martyrs Week, began with a minutes silence and the reciting of the National Anthem.
