New generation hotel and rehabilitation centre

North Cyprus’s first new generation hotel and rehabilitation centre is set to open in Gazimağusa.

An investment protocol has been signed for the establishment of a new-generation hotel and rehabilitation centre in Gazimağusa which will contribute to the international visibility and development of health tourism in North Cyprus.

The protocol was signed by Romatem Health Group President Dr. Köksal Holoğlu and Oscar Group CEO İbrahim Bağman.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, as well as several state and government officials.

Speaking there, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel noted that North Cyprus offered unique opportunities not only in terms of medical treatment facilities but also in health preservation and development in the field of health tourism.

Üstel expressed his belief that this step will serve as a motivation for other health tourism investments from abroad to come to the island.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Fikri Ataoğlu, also highlighted the importance of the investment.

Ataoğlu stressed that they will continue to support the increase of health tourism investments in North Cyprus.

The President of the World Health Tourism Council, Ahmet Savaşan, for his part said that one of their priorities was to contribute to the scientific development of health tourism and increase health tourism activities and investments in North Cyprus.

Stressing the importance of the investment to be made in Gazimağusa by reliable and strong brand groups, Savaşan said that he believed this investment will increase health tourism revenues in the country and lead to more employment opportunities in this field.

During their speeches at the signing ceremony, Romatem Health Group Chairman Dr. Köksal Holoğlu and Oscar Group CEO İbrahim Bağman expressed that with this investment, they aim to host two thousand health tourists from European, Middle Eastern, and North African countries in 2024.
