The new Judicial Year began on Monday with a ceremony held at the Lefkoşa Open Education Faculty.

The President of the Supreme Court Narin Ferdi Şefik delivered an opening speech at a ceremony held on Monday marking the beginning of the 2023-2024 Judicial Year.

Representing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Bar Association, the head of the Bar Council Hasan Esendağlı, Attorney General Sarper Altıncık and Acting President Zorlu Töre also delivered speeches during the ceremony.

The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Türkiye Prof. Dr. Zühtü Arslan, the President of the Turkish Court of Dispute Muammer Topal, President of the Turkish Justice Academy Muhittin Özdemir and representatives of the Turkish Court of Cassation and Council of State were also present at the ceremony.
