The New Year began with beautiful sunny weather reminiscent of spring but according to the meteorology department the New Year brings rainy weather.

It has predicted that there will be showers for three days starting from today.

According to the weekly weather forecast report of the Meteorology Department, the region will be under the influence of a low pressure system in the first half of the period.

Today it will be partly cloudy with possible showers with the same weather pattern expected for tomorrow (Wednesday) as well.

Thursday at noon it will be partly cloudy with a short-period of showers and on the other days it will be partly cloudy or very cloudy at times.

Highest temperatures will generally be around 19 to 22 ºC inland and on the coasts.

Winds will be generally blowing from the southern and western directions with moderate force becoming strong at times.
