Ercan Airport recorded high activity during the New Year week, serving 738 flights and 95,440 passengers between December 28, 2024, and January 3, 2025.

On January 1 alone, the airport managed 121 flights, reflecting the ongoing popularity of the TRNC during the holiday season.

In a statement by T&T Airport Operations, Ercan Airport provided services to 738 planes and 95,440 passengers between December 28, 2024, and January 3, 2025.

On December 28, 2024, 105 planes carried 13,426 passengers, on December 29, 2024, 117 planes carried 16,582 passengers, and on December 30, 2024, 102 planes carried 12,633 passengers. On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2024, the airport hosted 73 planes and 9,352 passengers.

On January 2, 2025, Ercan Airport served 112 planes carrying 14,534 passengers, and on January 3, 2025, it hosted 108 planes and 15,267 passengers.

General Manager of T&T Airport Operations, Serhat Özçelik, stated that thanks to the measures taken in collaboration with the sector, passengers using the new Ercan Airport for New Year’s travel experienced no difficulties in entering or exiting the airport.

Noting that the New Year period was as busy as ever at Ercan Airport, Özçelik stressed that they continued to provide the best service to passengers at the new airport, as always.
