Girne is preparing for the North Cyprus Sailing and Maritime Festival which will take place on June-17-25.

The event which is being organized by the Girne Marina and Mediterranean Sailing Club will be held under four different categories.

The North Cyprus Sailing and Maritime Festival will be taking place this coming Saturday.

Competitions will be held in four categories consisting of ICLA-4, Optimist, Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell Monohull Sailing Race and Halil Falyalı Fishing Tournament.

In addition to the competitions taking place, leading companies in the maritime sector will come together with maritime and sea sports enthusiasts at the Girne Marina, which is hosting the event.

In a statement regarding the event, the Director of the Girne Marina Karahan Şahin stated that competitors from both Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will take part in the races.

He said it is their goal to turn this festival into an international event.
