Occupancy rates at hotels and resorts went up by 42.7% in 2022, the Tourism and Planning Department has announced.
This figure was at 26.8% the previous year.
The Tourism Ministry on Monday released the occupancy rate figures at hotels and resorts for 2022.
According to the figures, occupancy rates at resorts continued to climb in 2022 compared to the previous year.
Hotels and resorts were full by 42.7% compared to the previous year which was 26.8% due to the Covid-19 pandemic and travel restrictions in place.
The number of foreign tourists staying at hotels had gone up by 208.3%.
The number of Turkish nationals staying at hotels last year had also gone up by 166% compared to the previous year reaching 707,284.
