The newly appointed Turkish Vice-President Cevdet Yılmaz has said that they will continue to stand by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in every aspect through the Cyprus Affairs Coordination Presidency.
Turkish Vice-President, Cevdet Yılmaz, took over the position of Vice Presidency from Fuat Oktay on Monday.
Speaking at the handover ceremony that took place at the Presidential Complex, Yılmaz stated that Türkiye will take its place among the rising countries of the 21st century.
He stressed that in the “Century of Türkiye”, they will continue to progress by building upon the infrastructure they have established in various fields such as energy, education, transportation, healthcare, agriculture, and defence industry with new projects and ideas.
“In the upcoming period, with the development and strengthening of our new governance system, Türkiye will continue as an achievement, adapting to new conditions. I especially want to stress this,” the newly appointed Turkish Vice-President Yılmaz said.
Yılmaz also mentioned the priority given to the construction and reconstruction of the earthquake-affected provinces and the strengthening of the National Shield Model against Disasters.
He also touched upon the Cyprus Affairs Coordination, stating that they will continue to stand by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in all aspects.
Fuat Oktay, who handed over his post as Vice President also made an assessment regarding the Cyprus Affairs Coordination.
Oktay stated that they have strengthened the economic and financial cooperation with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus through the Cyprus Affairs Coordination, extending it to a comprehensive social dimension.
He also stressed that all the efforts have established a sustainable infrastructure and framework based on continuity of the state.
