The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Fuat Oktay met with members of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and with ambassadors and representatives of member and observer member countries in Türkiye.
During the meeting, it was decided to closely monitor the acceleration of the approval process before the parliaments regarding the work carried out within the OTS.
The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) Fuat Oktay held a meeting with ambassadors and representatives from member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States in Türkiye.
The breakfast meeting was attended by ambassadors from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
During his speech, Oktay emphasized the need for regular meetings between the Foreign Affairs Commissions of member and observer countries within the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) and stressed the importance of expediting the approval process for work carried out within the OTS.
Oktay also highlighted the significance of prioritizing issues within the OTS and expressed the need for closer relations between member country parliaments, governments, civil society organizations, and the private sector.
He further mentioned the importance of supporting the nominations of member countries in various institutions and stated that these issues will be highlighted in future discussions by the Foreign Affairs Commissions.
