The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly, Ziya Öztürkler, thanked Numan Kurtulmuş for the support provided to the Turkish Cypriot people during the presentation of the 2025 budget of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

In a written statement, Speaker Öztürkler noted that during the presentation of the Assembly’s budget in the TBMM Planning and Budget Commission, Kurtulmuş also addressed the issues of the TRNC and Nagorno-Karabakh, making assessments on these matters.

Öztürkler stated in his announcement that Kurtulmuş clearly expressed Türkiye’s position regarding the national struggle of the Turkish Cypriots and Azerbaijan’s victory in Nagorno-Karabakh, adding that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Parliamentary Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş consistently articulate and support the just struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people on every platform.

He also stressed that the Turkish Cypriots always felt the presence and strength of their motherland, Türkiye, by their side in every matter.

“We proudly and gratefully follow the meaningful efforts shown under the roof of the TBMM not only for internal matters but also as a voice for humanity worldwide. On this occasion, I would like to thank the Speaker of the TBMM, Numan Kurtulmuş, for this significant support in our just struggle and wish for the 2025 TBMM Speaker’s Financial Budget to be beneficial” Öztürkler added.
