Parl. Speaker Öztürkler received Türk-Bir delegation

“The 2nd Rauf Raif Denktaş and Dr. Fazıl Küçük International Cyprus Studies Symposium” will be held today and the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler received the Azerbaijani delegation that is in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to take part in the symposium.

Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler received Azerbaijani MPs, journalists and representatives of non-governmental organizations who came to the TRNC within the scope of the “The 2nd Rauf Raif Denktaş and Dr. Fazıl Küçük International Cyprus Studies Symposium” organized by the Turkish Union Solidarity Association (Türk-Bir).

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Türk-Bir President Prof. Dr. Güven Arıklı provided information about the symposium and emphasized its significance in promoting and explaining the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the Turkic World.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler for his part stated that the event offers important opportunities to increase the international recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Emphasizing that such organizations are of great importance for the promotion and international recognition of the TRNC, Öztürkler stated that the event brought together participants from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and many Turkic states and Europe.

Stating that they have always supported and will continue to support such scientific studies and events for the promotion of the TRNC, Öztürkler stated that labor and struggle are necessary for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to survive and move forward, and that the Turkish Cypriot people, together with Motherland Türkiye, have put forth this struggle more than enough.

Azerbaijan Parliament Deputy Anar Isgandarov for his part noted that the State of Azerbaijan has always stood by the Turkish Cypriot People.

Azerbaijan Parliament Deputy Aliyeva Zhalaise said, “The freedom, independence and peace of North Cyprus is very important for all of us.”
