The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre stated that relations with the Turkic Republics gained a great momentum following the observer membership of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to the Organization of Turkic States.
Töre noted that one of the biggest goals is to become a full member of the Organization of Turkic States.
The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre received the newly appointed TRNC representative to Bishkek Tahir Osman Tahir.
Speaking during the visit, Töre stated that Kyrgyzstan is one of the most important Turkic Republics and reminded that they have good relations as countries and assemblies.
Emphasizing that the relations with the Turkic Republics in Central Asia, especially Azerbaijan after the observer membership to the Organization of Turkic States had gained great momentum, Töre noted that full membership is one of the biggest goals.
He also wished Tahir success at his new post.
Tahir Osman Tahir, who was appointed as the TRNC Representative in Bishkek, for his part said that he would take office as of August 1st and would do his best to represent his country in the best way possible.
