Parl. Speaker Töre and PM Üstel received delegation from Azerbaijan

The Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel received the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Union delegation.

During the visits the importance of solidarity and cooperation of Turkic states was emphasized.

The Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre received the delegation of the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Union headed by Sakina Babayeva.

Speaking during the visit, Töre stated that they want the flags of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to exist forever.

Noting that their greatest expectation is for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to become a full member of the Council of Turkic States, Töre emphasized the importance of the unity amongst Turkic States.

Expressing the hope that the delegation will be able to develop cooperation opportunities with women entrepreneurs and businesswomen in the TRNC, Töre said, “Our hearts and our cause are one.”

The Chairman of the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Union Sakine Babayeva for her part stated that solidarity and togetherness did not emerge overnight but were deeply rooted from the past.

Noting that they no longer see themselves as one nation two states but as one nation three states, Babayeva said that their solidarity with Turkish Cypriot women will continue.

The head of the Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneurial Women’s Association İçim Kavuklu for her part stated that the development of cooperation with friendly countries is among the objectives of their association.

She stated that the joint work with the delegation from Azerbaijan is of great importance.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Ünal Üstel also received the visiting delegation from Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Union, the Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneurial Women’s Association and its board of directors informed Prime Minister Üstel about the activities that they are carrying out.
